The Digital Railway Depot's core element is the integrated IoT platform which continuously receives data from locomotives and depot equipment.
Based on that data comes forecast analysis of locomotives' technical condition and resource planning to ensure efficient process organization.
Currently, the pilot project The Digital Railway Depot is being realized jointly with LocoTech Group of Companis at the Bratskoye workshop in the city of Vikhorevka, Irkutsk Region.
30+
digital and technological solutions
At the moment, more than 30 different digital and technological solutions, combined into one intelligent system have been implemented at the workshop.
A single repair position eliminates the need for any locomotive maneuvering and reduces the repair time by up to 40%
Brake tab wear control system
Battery status control system
Brush rig status control system
Core equipment load analysis
3D printing
Locomotive section number optic recognition system
RFID system
Situation room
Wheel pair status control system
Digital locomotive logbook
A system of interrelated mobile apps for every stage of locomotive maintenance and repair
Clover-based predictions on locomotive units
Biometric employee identification system
How do solutions work?
Digital solutions are combined into a single planning system that uses the input data to forecast a fault of a specific unit.
What are the benefits?
This allows for planning the scope of work for every section before the locomotive arrives.
What else?
After that comes automated planning of materials and in-line equipment required for repairs and the completed plan is sent online to all the concerned employees
